Answer:

Racoon Olympics is a short story set against a background of a conversation between a father, his daughter and Paul King the Park Naturalist.

Adults should be skilled at communicating uncomfortable or gory information in a very ear-friendly manner.

For example, in paragraph 5, the narrator's Dad asks Paul to explain what happens to the Raccoons they are unable to relocate them. Mr Paul the Park Naturalist is reported to have looked carefully at the narrator before responding. Thereafter he proceeds to make up a story about Raccoons and Olympics.

The two big Ideas is that grown-ups should be careful not to underestimate the intelligence of adolescents

For example, following from the story above, the narrator states in paragraph 11 using an antithesis to explain that though she is an adolescent, she understands that Paul had just made up a story for her that was more diplomatic or mild that the actual fact.
