The main difference that exists between a covalent bond and a hydrogen bond are whether or not binding electrons are involved in the chemical bond, in a covalent bond they are. In a hydrogen bond they are not. These hydrogen bonds are weak partial charge interactions that occur between partial negative electronegative elements and the partial positive charge on hydrogen.
