If there is a constant loss of
CO_(2)~(carbon~dioxide) the concentration of
H_(2) CO_(3)~(carbonic~acid) will be affected and decrease since
CO_(2) is a main component of
H_(2)CO_(3).

Hope it helped,

Answer:

The concentration of H2CO3 decreases.

Step-by-step explanation:

Respiration may be defined as the process of exchange of gases between the alveoli, tissues and external environment. The oxygen is inhaled and carbon dioxide is exhaled out during respiration process.

Rapid exhalation of CO2 means the amount of oxygen is more than the carbon dioxide. The concentration of H2CO3 will decrease as less amount of carbon dioxide is available in the body. The concentration of carbon dioxide is directly proportional to the concentration of H2CO3. Hence, the concentration of H2CO3 will decrease.

Thus, the correct answer is option (1).
