We calculate the average acceleration by formula,

a_(avg)= (v_(i)-v_(f))/(\Delta t)\

Here vi is initial velocity of the car and after given time its velocity becomes vf .

According to question,

v_(i) = 6.64 m/s,

v_(f) = 10.9m/s,

\Delta t =5.55s

Therefore, putting these values in above equation, we get

a_{avg} = \frac{10.9 m/s - 6.64 m/s}{5.55 s}

[/tex]
a_(avg)= (4.26 m/s )/(5.55 s) </p><p>
a_(avg) = 0.77 m/s^2}}

Thus, the average acceleration in given time interval is
0.77 m/s^2
