Germany lost terribly, losing many soldiers and land to its surrounding countries.
Throughout the war, Germany had
convinced its citizens that they were winning the war
. The effect of
propaganda
was very effective.
Germany was also
getting starved
because of the
British Naval blockade
. This, in turn, was
weakening the German troops
.
Germany signed the
Armistice of 11 November, 1918
, ending the fight on land, water, and air in World War I, resulting in a devastating loss and a kick in the pride for Germany.
