1) 2.1 times 2.3 is 4.83
2.1 times 2.1x is 4.41x

So it’s 4.83+4.41x-x=11.65
OR
4.83+4.41x-1x=11.65

2) Then subtract 1x from 4.41x

So it’s 4.83+3.41x=11.65

3) Then subtract 4.83 from both sides
4.83+3.41x=11.65
-4.83 -4.83
—————————
3.41x= 6.82

4) divide 3.41 on both sides

3.41x= 6.82
——————
3.41 3.41

x=6.82/3.41

The final answer is x=2
