That is true.

For example: dividing 1/2 by 1/2 is 1. On the calculator, you can calculate 0.5 (which is 1 divided by 2) divided by 0.5, which equals 1.


(1)/(2) x
(2)/(1) is equal to 1, since the twos cancel each other out and leave nothing but
(1)/(1).
