Hey, can anyone answer this question based off of The Book Thief? (it’s for Honors English) “According the Zusak, how does literacy shape and define the lives of the characters? Why are words powerful?”

In the book that Liesel creates to give to Max with her scarce vocabulary, she characterizes how Fuhrer Hitler used WORDS to give light to his propaganda, and how, his SPEECHES captured the imagination of a people whose life were distraught with poverty.
By using merely WORDS, he managed to get people on his side to eventually plan out his own schemes.
