7 - b
→ When you multiply something by 1, it's value remains exactly the same.
When you multiply something by 0, the answer is always 0.
When you add 1 to something, the value will be always one number bigger.
When you divide something by 0, there is no possible answer since you're dividing a number into nothing, and you need to divide a number into a certain amount of parts in order to make a division.
8 - b
→ The commutative property says that the order of the numbers that are being used can change, and the result will still remain the same.
The distributive property is a property based on multiplication used to break down parenthesis.
Multypling by one is not a property.
Multiplying by zero is also not a property.
10 - a
→ The distributive property is a property based on multyplication that is used to break down parethesis. In your case, you'll multiply 3 * y and 3 * 5 to obtain 3y + 15.
Multypling by zero is not a property.
The commutative property is a property that states that the order of number is an operation can be changed, that the result won't change.
The associative property is a property that states that you can group numbers in different ways while still obtaining the same result.
