Convert y - 1 = 2 (x - 3) to slop intercept form

Remember that slope-intercept form is y = mx + b, with m = slope and b = y-intercept.

Firstly, foil 2(x - 3):
y-1=2x-6

Next, add 1 on both sides of the equation and your answer will be: y = 2x - 5

Distribute the 2 and add 1 to both sides so that it is in slope(m) - intercept(b) form: y = mx + b

y - 1 = 2(x - 3)

y - 1 = 2x - 6

y = 2x - 5
