if the area of the continent in the middle of the list above in problem 9 had an area of ten million more squares kilometers, would it still be in the middle of an ordered list? edplain

yes. the list isn't ordered in numerical order by area judging by the fact that the continent two places above it has a lower area than the one below it. it's in alphabetical order
