What is the next number in the following series: 2, 5, 8, 11, ...

a. 14
b. 13
c. 12
d. 15

There is a pattern that exists here. They go up by increments of 3:

2+3=5; 5+3=8; 8+3=11

If you add 3 to 11, the result is 14. The answer is 14.
