If 300 of 100,000 residents signed the petition against the two children’s books, what is the probability that a resident chosen at random signed the petition?

The number of residents signed the petition against the two children’s books is 300. There are total 100000 residents.

The probability that resident chosen signed the petition = (umber of residents signed petition) / Total number of residents

= 300 / 100000

= 0.003

The probability that resident is signed petition is 0.003
