h(x)= -8^x

Range is the set of y values for which the function is defined

We have exponent x, lets plug in some positive and negative numbers for x and check

Suppose x=-1 then
h(-1)= -8^(-1)= -(1)/(8)

x=1 then
h(1)= -8^(1)=-8

So for x values the value of h(x) is negative

For all x values , the y value is negative .

Hence range is y<0
