y2-y1=m(x2-x1) point-slope form
y=mx+b slope-intercept form
Now plugging in our given values into point-slope form, we get;
-2-10=m(8-(-4))
-12=m(12)
m=-1
Now that we have our slope value we use one coordinate point to find our slope-intercept equation;
Y=-x+b
10=-(-4)+b
b=6
That’s our y-intercept so now we have our answer in slope-intercept form;
y=-x+6
Hope this helps. Any questions please just ask. Thank you.
