6(x - 2) + 18 = 2(x - 3)

  • Distribute 6 and 2 inside their respective parentheses.

6x - 12 + 18 = 2x - 6

  • Combine like terms.

6x + 6 = 2x - 6

  • Add 6 to both sides.

6x + 12 = 2x

  • Subtract 6x from both sides.

12 = -4x

  • Divide both sides by -4.

x = -3
