So for this, we will be doing a proportion. In this case, our proportion is
(45)/(25)=(x)/(30)

  1. Firstly, cross-multiply:
    25x=1350
  2. Next, divide both sides by 25, and your answer will be
    x=54

In context, to feed 30 students you need 54 cookies.
