Follow order of operations rules. In this particular case we must mult and div before addn or subtrn.

18÷ 2 (3) + 3 (6)-4 = 9(3) + 18 - 4 = 27 + 18 - 4 = 41

5(6)- 3(3) x 4 ÷2 = 30 - 9 times 2 = 21 times 2 = 42

1. Since nothing needs to be solved in parentheses move on to Multiplication first multiply 3x6 to get 18 now you have 18/2(3)+18-4 next do 18/2 to get 9 and times that by 3 to get 27 now you have 27+18-4=41

2.first multiply 5 and 6 to get 30 then multiply 3 and 3 to get 30-9x4/2 then subtract 9 from 30 to get 21 times 21 by 4 to get 84 and finally divide 84 by 2 to get 42.
