Hey there!

In order for us to out what the value of "c " is you have to do the opposite of subtraction, which is addition but since the result might be a negative we have to keep
adding

SO, first lets
subtract by
9 on each of your sides

Like

9 - c = 63 \\ 9 + (-c) = 63 \\ (-c) + 9= 63 \\ \\ \\ \\ Here! \\ \\ (-c) + 9 - 9 \\ 63 - 9 \\ \\ Cancel: 9 - 9 \\ \\ Keep: 63 - 9 \\ \\ 63 - 9 = 54 \\ -c = 54

Nextly we will
divide by
-1 on your sides

Like:

(-c)/(-1) = (54)/(1) \\ \\ Cancel: (-c)/(1) \\ \\ Keep: (54)/(-1)

(54)/(-1) = -54

Answer:
c= -54

Good luck on your assignment and enjoy your day!
