early civilizations no longer had to go out and hunt for food, allowing them to settle in one place with easy access to what they needed.

Answer:

The domestication of animals helped contribute to the development of permanent settlements because some animals could help locate were there is food. The animals need food in order to survive and so do humans, so wherever the animals went to eat they saw that they could eat the similar things. So as time went by they saw that they could plant certain things. And settle in one environment that is good for plants and animals.
