Using distributive property -1/6(6y+7)??

The distributive property states, a(b + c) = ab + ac. Normally, we would simplify the values inside the parentheses first, and then multiply, but since these two values are not alike terms, we would need to use the distributive property.

-1/6(6y + 7) is also equal to -1/6(6y) + -1/6(7), so with that, we can simplify the expression.

-1/6(6y) + -1/6(7) can be simplified to -y + -7/6.

Therefore, using the distributive property, the answer is -y - 7/6.
