Subtract 3x from both sides

4x - 6 - 3x = 3x + 4 - 3x

Simplifying

x - 6 = 4

Add 6 to both sides

x - 6 + 6 = 4 + 6

Simplifying

x = 10

PT = 4(10) - 6 = 40 - 6

PT = 34
