Hi!

If a = -5, -a = 5

So our equation is...

5^(-2)

When you use a negative exponents, it tells you how many times to divide by the number.

1 ÷ 5 ÷ 5 = 0.04

The answer is 0.04

Hope this helps! :)

-a^-2 if a=-5

= - 1/a^2

= - (1 / (-5))^2

= - 1/25

= - 0.04
