The equation of circle having a diameter with endpoints (-3, 1) and (5, 7) is (x - 4)² + (y - 3)² = 25 (x - 1)² + (y - 4)² = 25 (x - 1)² + (y - 4)² = 100

The length of the diameter = sqrt ( (7-1)^2 + (5 - -3)^2)

= sqrt 100 = 10 units so the radius = 1/2 * 10 = 5 units

so the right side of the equation = 5^2 = 25

Centre of circle = midpoint of the diameter = (-3+5)/2 , (1 + 7)/2 = (1 , 4)

so the correct equation is (x - 1)^2 + (y - 4)^2 = 25
