Ryan has 3 red lava lamps and 3 blue lava lamps. he arranges them in a row on a shelf randomly, and then randomly turns 3 of them on. what is the probability that the leftmost lamp is blue and off, and the rightmost lamp is red and on?

Well. U have 6 lamps and we r turning in 3 and the probability of 1 being red is 16.666% u would do 1/6 as a percentage because I are only trying to find if that one is red. Hope this helps! ☺️

Answer:

The answer is 7/20 :)

Explanation:

P(leftmost lamp = red) = ½

Leftmost must be red (1/2) and so must the leftmost lit lamp(2/5)

(1/2)(1/2) + (1/2)(1/2)(2/5) = 7/20 :)
