Answer:

In the book, The Outsiders, it describes a life of socially outcasted teenagers, who are not accepted by society and are called "greasers." The main character of this book, who is named Ponyboy Curtis, narrates from his point of view as one of the outsiders. Ponyboy's life is difficult, as he struggles as he's being bullied, comforting his best friend, Johnny, and dealing with the socs + keeping himself safe. Ponyboy's best friend is Johnny who's parents abuse him, and he has two siblings, Sodapop, who he's fond of, Darry, who he doesn't like because Darry yells and lectures him, Dally, the stereotypical greaser, or JD. Dally, or Dallas grew up in New York and had a rough childhood. Two-Bit Matthews, the jokester of the group. Steve, Sodapop's best friend, but Ponyboy doesn't find him that appealing. That's Ponyboy's gang, that he sticks together with.
