i don't know how to solve this problem i think i can dl the firts part but the 2nd one i don't know what x means the question said" evaluate the expressions below for the given values" "-2x2+1 for x=-3" the firts part gives me 9 bit idk what to do with the "for x=-3"

In the equation -2x^2 + 1
We're supposed to substitute x by the given value which is -3 in this case.
-2x^2 + 1 = -2(-3)^2 + 1
= -2(9) + 1
= -18 + 1
= -17
