Through (2,8) and parallel to y=5x+ 2

When you graph the equation and then plot the point you can see when in the equation what 2 is equal to. In this case it’s (2,12) so that means there is a 4 difference in the y-intercept since it’s parallel and the point is under the equation line you subtract 4 from the original equation y-intercept which gives you -2 . Then you plug it into the equation . The slope stays the same . 5x but then the new y-intercept is -2
y = 5x-2
