the formula for perimeter is l+l+w+w

So 9+9+6+6= 30 meters of fence

Answer:

Ben needs 30 meters of fence.

Explanation:

Ben has a rectangular area 9 meters long and 6 meters wide.

He wants a fence that will go around it .

To calculate how many meters of fence Ben will need, we will find the perimeter of the area.

Perimeter = 2(length + width)

P = 2( 9+6 )

= 2 × 15

= 30 meters

Ben needs 30 meters of fence.
