Set each factor equal to zero.

2x = 0

Divide by 2 on both sides:

x = 0/2

x = 0

x + 4 = 0

Subtract 4 from both sides.

x = 0 - 4

x = - 4

x + 5 = 0

Subtract 5 on both sides.

x = 0 - 5

x = - 5

Your solutions are x = -5, -4, 0
