Since AD and CD are equivalent to each other, put them together in a equation where they equal each other.

AD=CD

3x+4=x+6

Subtract x from both sides

2x+4=6

Subtract 4 from both sides

2x=2

Divide 2 on both sides

Final Answer: x= 1
