What is a / b (2x - 12) = c / d ; x ?

I cannot seem to find an answer without more than 4 fraction bars.
I come to x = c / d / a / b / 2 + 6.
Is this wrong?

we are given

(a)/(b) (2x-12)=(c)/(d)

we can solve for x

We can isolate x

step-1: Multiply both sides by b/a

(b)/(a)*(a)/(b) (2x-12)=(b)/(a)*(c)/(d)

(2x-12)=(bc)/(ad)

step-2:Add 12 both sides

(2x-12)+12=(bc)/(ad)+12

2x=(bc)/(ad)+12

step-3: combine right side

2x=(bc+12ad)/(ad)

step-4:Divide both sides by 2

x=(bc+12ad)/(2ad)..............Answer
