then using this conversion factor we can write
`28.4 inch=28.4* (1 inch)`

and further it can be written as

`28.4* (1 inch)*(2.54 cm/1 inch)=28.4*2.54 cm= 72.136 cm`

Hence the required conversion factor is 2.54 cm/1 inch as we can see from the above calculation.
