Fatuous love includes passion and commitment without intimacy. This sort of love would apply to a "whirlwind" romance where two individuals meet, fall energetically infatuated, and get hitched, all inside half a month, prior to they even have room schedule-wise to know each other well.
This love can go ahead rapidly, as in "love at first sight," and can last a while, yet except if Intimacy creates in the relationship, at that point the relationship will stay youthful and may appear to be disorganized, hyper, and is probably going to end in a disaster.
