You need to convert hectograms to kilograms. Once you do that, then you need to add until you get 4,500 or slightly below that numbers. That’ll tell you how heavy the biggest load can be.

Answer: 1,850 kilograms

Explanation:

Given: The bridge will hold only 4,500 kilograms and an empty truck weighs 2650 kilograms.

We know that , 1 hectogram = 0.1 kilograms

\text{26,500 hectograms} =0.1*26,500=2650\text{ kilograms}.

Therefore, the heaviest load the truck can safely carry across the bridge is given by:-

4500-2650=1850\text{kilograms}

Hence, the heaviest load the truck can safely carry across the bridge = 1,850 kilograms.
