You have to use PEMDAS

Parentheses \\ Exponents \\ Multiplication \\ Division \\ Addition \\ Subtraction

You have to do the division and multiplication first.

3 * 5 = 15 \\ 20 / 4 = 5

The new equation is:

8+15-5

First do the addition in the beginning:

15 + 8 = 23

At last, subtract 5

23 - 5 = 18

Your answer is 18
