Kyle and Linda are married with two children at home and a mortgage. Kyle’s net pay per year is $32,000 and Linda’s is $48,000. Their monthly expenses are $3,500.

Kyle and Linda each contribute 15% of their earnings to a retirement fund and they have $5,000 in savings. They also have a $100,000 life insurance policy on Kyle, but none on Linda.

As their financial advisor, what part of Kyle and Linda’s financial plan would you encourage them to work on and why?

As their financial advisor,I would have them set aside more money for their savings and their retirement fund. Also I would advise them to put out a life insurance policy on linda since she doesn't have one so if something every happenes then kyle would have money to raise the kids since Linda makes more money.I would also gave them make college funds for their children since college is so expensive that way they wouldn't have to worry about it in the future.

I hope this helped. :)

As their financial adviser, I can say, that they are earning good and Linda should also have life insurance. Moreover they have mortgage and two children to look after, so first they should look after this and work for protecting their assets.

The savings are not enough for a family of four to support in case of emergencies for even 2 months.
