The President is one of the most powerful people in the world. The Constitution says, he must "take care that the laws be faithfully executed."

The powers of the president are conducting diplomatic relations, negotiating treaties, and appointing cabinet officers. The President usually experience reduction on these powers when the president’s party loses control in either house,

Answer:

The only two possible options that could be feasible in this particular question would be B: The economy is doing poorly, with high unemployment rates, and D: The number and severity of international crises is increasing. The explanation for this would be that in both instances, people are very much aware of the role of the President as the main policy maker, and the one responsible for these two factors. If in both instances things fail, then the people might choose to vote in the legislative elections, for the opposing party, which would mean that political power would be lost, as it is now being split between the leading party in Congress and the one to which the President belongs. In this instance, now that the President doesn´t hold control of Congress, they can start vetoing his policies and decisions. Thus, in this way, the President would see a reduction in his/her political power.
