for a certain manufacturer, only 4/5 of the items produced are not defective. if 2000 items are manufactured in a month how many are not defective

You need to multiply 4/5*2,000/1.

So, you would get 8,000/5.

Now, we need to divide 8,000 by 5, which would be 1,600.

1,600 items produced out of 2,000 are not defective.
