Surface area of Sphere = 4πr²

* The bowl, is half a sphere (hemisphere)

Inside radius, r = 6 cm

inside hemisphere surface area = (1/2)4π(6)²

= 2π36

= 72π

= 226.2 cm²

-----------------------------------------------

Outside hemisphere surface area = (1/2)4π(6.5)²

= 2π(42.25)

= 84.5π

= 265.5 cm²

--------------------------------------------

Volume of Sphere = (4/3) πr³

1/2 of this fills the bowl, hemisphere

inside Hemisphere volume = (1/2)(4/3)π(6)³

= (2/3)π(216)

= 144π

= 452.4 cm³
