PLEASE HELP.

Amy invested her savings in two investment funds. The amount she invested in Fund A was 4 times as much as the amount she invested in Fund B. Fund A returned a 2% profit and Fund B returned a 3% profit. How much did she invest in Fund B, if the total profit from the two funds together was $990 ?

To find fund be,we can set up an equation with: unknown:

Let Fund B be y,

Then, Fund A would be y×4 =4y

We can then set up the equation:

4y×2%+y×3%=990
4y×0.02+y×0.03=990
0.08y+0.03y=990
0.11y=990
y=990/0.11
y=9000

Therefore,she invested $9000 in Fund B.

Hope it helps!
