What does Mrs. Hale mean when she says, "We all go through the same things—it's all just a different kind of the same thing"?

Most likely that we all have problems in life and they might be different but they all end up teaching us something about ourselves. I haven't read this book so I wouldn't know exactly but I think that this is close to the answer.
