Solution:

we are given that

Three people are comparing their ages.

Let charlie age be x , ann's ages be y and bob age be z , then we can write using the given info

charlie and ann's ages add to 5 years more than bob's age.


x+y-z=5

Now using the given info. that charlie and bob's ages add to 6 years more than twice ann's age.


x+z-2y=6

Again using -ann and bob's ages add to 7 years more than four times charlie's age.


y+z-4x=7

Now we will solve these three equations together using calculator we get

x=34, y=57 and z=86

Hence charlie age is 34 , ann's ages is 57 and bob age is 86.
