Why is a pack of wolves considered a population and not a community

a population is a group of certain species while a commuinty is different species in a certain area.

A community consists of numerous species of animals which exist in a given environment or ecosystem. A population is one specific species (such as wolves) which interbreed with each other and which typically (though not always) inhabit one particular area.

Population is a more specific term than community.
