Why were the confederate states unwilling to accept the 13th amendment

The Confederate States were not willing to accept the 13th Amendment because it banned slavery in all states America. As an agricultural society, they depended on slave labor to work in their farms. Thus, the amendment threatened their prosperity and they were opposed to it.
