So you multiply 8 and four to give you 32 which is the area of the rectangle, subtract the top measurement of 7 by 4 to give you 3 which will make it simpler to find the area of the square and triangle. To find the area of the square multiply 3 by 3 to get 9. And to find the triangle since we know that 8 minus 3 is 5 and to find the area of a triangle we have to divide by two at the end 5x3 divided by 2 will give you the answer of 7.5. To find the total area do 32+9+7.5
to get 48.5cm squared

Area of Rectangle = 8 × 7
= 56cm^2

Length of side of Square = 7-4
= 3cm

Area of Square = 3 × 3
= 9 cm^2
Length of triangle = 8 - 3
= 5cm
Area of triangle = 1/2 × 5 × 3
= 7.5 cm^2

Hope this helps :)
