3x2 - y3 - y3 - z ..................if x = 3, y = -2, and z = -5?

= 3x^2 -2y^3 -z

= 3(3^2) - 2( -2)^3 - (-5)

= 3(9) -2( -8)+5

= 27 +16 +5

= 48

* Minus times a minus = a plus

Hope it’s helps!

You must plug all the given numbers into the problem

3(3)^2- (-2)^3 - (-2)^3 - (-5)

the you calculate the exponents

3(9) - (-8) - (-8) - (-5)

3 times 9 is 27

27 - (-8) - (-8) - (-5)

now you can change the negatives to positives because a negative times a negative is a positive

27 + 8 + 8+ 5 = 48
