Can someone please help me out? What's the answer to 4 1/2 plus 3 3/4 ?​

Answer: 3

Explanation:

I took 4 1/2 and made it an improper fraction which is 9/2 and then I took 3 3/4 and turned it into an improper fraction which is 15/4, so now you need to find the common denomerator which is 8 then you add the numerators which is 9 and 15 is 24 so can be divided by 8 so 24 divided by 8 is 3 and 8 divided by 8 is 1 so now you have another improper fraction 3/1 which is just 3. So that is how I got the answer!! :)
