An ant has a mass of approximately 4 × 10–3 grams and an elephant has a mass of approximately 8 x 106 grams. About how many times larger is the elephant's mass as compared to the ant's mass?

Mass of elephant/mass of ant = 8x10^6/4x10^-3 = 2x10^9. Therefore, mass of elephant = 2x10^9 times mass of ant.
