The given figure can be split into two rectangles as shown in figure.

Area of whole figure= Area of rectangle first + Area of rectangle second.

Area of rectangle can be found by multiplying length and width.

For rectangle first :

length = 14cm and width = 6cm

Area = 14*6 = 84 cm²

For second rectangle:

length =10cm and width = 6 cm

Area =10*6 =60 cm²

Adding the two areas:

Area of whole figure = 84 cm² +60 cm² = 144 cm²

Answer: Area of figure is 144 cm²
